Roel Calister joins Audiomaze

We are happy to announce the new addition to the AudioMaze family: Roël Calister!

Roël Calister is a Curaçao-born percussionist, composer, and artistic director known for blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with contemporary sounds. After studying Jazz Drums and Latin Percussion at the Rotterdam Conservatory, he founded drumdrumdrum, a platform for interactive family performances. He also leads KUENTA, a festival band that has graced stages at Glastonbury, SXSW, and Mysteryland. In 2024, Roël launched the Roël Calister Ensemble, debuting the theater programThe Work of Songs in 2025, which explores music’s power to heal and unite.
