The prog/world/jazz band, Ellipsis Quintet are releasing their fresh new single, “Nevma”. The band is taking a surprising new direction with this track. Although “Nevma” is flirting with the prog-rock sound, it isn’t adopting the genre’s stereotypical elements. Making use of low tuned distorted guitars, heavy grooves and controlled improvisations, with the trumpet at its center, the tune seems to flow in an easy and unencumbered way. Conveying emotion and warmth but also confidence and strength.
