Born in Berlin, Germany, in 1977, I embarked on a musical journey that began with West African kpanlogo drums at the age of 7. Inspired by exceptional teachers like Lartey Largo and Christian Fehre, my passion for percussion evolved, leading me to explore the beauty of Latin American rhythms.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Latin percussion from the Rotterdam Conservatory for Music, I delved deeper into Cuban percussion after a transformative visit to Cuba. Immersed in the vibrant music scene of Colombia, where salsa resonates in every corner, I learned firsthand the unique rhythms and sounds of the region.

Grateful for the guidance of renowned musicians like Juancho Valencia and Gerardo Rosales, my musical perspective has been enriched by diverse influences from around the world. Today, my journey continues, fuelled by a deep love for music and a desire to share its magic with others.
