Hami Cho

HAMI CHO is a South Korean pianist and composer based in Utrecht and Seoul. She’s currently playing her Jazz trio ‘Triotone’ and Saxophone Quartet ‘Japee’s concept’. HAMI’s fascination with music began with her childhood experience, which was influenced by classical music. She started to learn piano and discovered her for music, spending countless hours learning various music styles. In 2014, Hami entered the department of music at the JEI University to focus on pop and jazz music.

After graduation, she developed a passion for jazz and made decision to go on to study abroad. She is studying jazz piano at the Utrecht Conservatory. She is participating in many different projects not only as a pianist but as an arranger and composer. She has released an EP album called ‘Mariaplaats’ as a pianist on saxophone Quartet ‘Japee’s concepts’ in 2023. She has released a Single called ‘Clouds Are gone’ as a pianist, composer and arranger on Piano Trio in Feb 2024.
