Dr. Jordan Institute
Nicole Jordan is from Trinidad and Tobago and was raised in Canada, but she has made her home in Rotterdam, NL. Nicole brings her multifaceted musical background in classical music, Caribbean rhythms and folklore, and harmony singing to the Dr. Jordan Institute. Sometimes soothing, sometimes wild, Nicole's voice and lyrics mix her quirky sense of humor with her reflections on the darker sides of life. Mark Tuinstra grew up in a musical environment – his father was a drummer and his mother played piano and guitar. Mark first played classical piano, then was gripped by drums, bass and finally the guitar. He founded Afro-Latin band Bernie's Lounge and played over ten years with them. He toured throughout Europe, Brazil, Jordan, South-Africa, Turkey, Guatemala, Bulgaria, Senegal, Japan, Mexico and Egypt. Stefan Kruger studied Jazz Drums at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (cum laude) and Rotterdam (World Music) and is (co-)founder of numerous bands like SFeQ, New Cool Collective, Zuco 103 and Krupa & the Genes. He produced albums of Jazz singer Ruben Hein, Ethiopian singer Minyeshu and co-produced Joe Jackson’s albums The Duke and Fast Forward. He was Musical Director and drummer of Caro Emerald’s live band. With his bands Stefan has toured all over the world and still does with Zuco 103 Nicole Jordan - Vocals (Trinidad and Tobago) Mark Tuinstra - Guitar (Netherlands) Stefan Kruger - Drums (Netherlands)
