Albertine

ALBERTINE is the middle name of songwriter/musician Yanna Albertine Pelser (NL). Whilst plucking the viola and playing the piano, she, in a fully unpretentious manner, sings her own songs about her life as young woman in the city.

Her songwriting touches many different musical styles, hence the eclectic nature of her debut album ‘Drops’, on which influences from western classical music, the sixties/seventies (Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, CSN&Y) and today’s electronic sonic world can co-exist. Binding factor remains the unique and warm vocal sound in combination with plucked viola,often colored by carrying wind arrangements and tasteful musicianship by all band members.
