Boötes’ Dream

Tales of Taurus is a deeply personal album rooted in my childhood memories from the Taurus Mountains, a place that shaped my worldview and artistic identity. Each track reflects emotions, places, and memories. Through this album, I reconnect with those inner landscapes in search of self.

Boötes’ Dream is a mystical, dreamlike journey named after the shepherd constellation Boötes, an ancient symbol of guidance between earth and sky. The shepherd archetype dwells in each of us, quietly watching and guiding through the flock of thoughts, desires, and duties of our lives. When we close our eyes in silence, somewhere between the material and transcendent, the noise of the world fades. Guided by stars we forgot we come from, the soul begins to wander and uncovers what it truly longs for. The shepherd becomes a symbol of our effort to live with intention, to gently lead ourselves toward a deeper sense of purpose.

This track is deeply personal. Partly inspired by The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, a story I have loved since childhood about listening to the soul, and partly by my uncle, a young shepherd who was struck by lightning during a nap in the Taurus Mountains. This piece is for all those who live in between earth and sky.

Musically, I combined Ney, a mysterious Turkish wind instrument, with Turkish folkloric percussive rhythms to reflect the spirit of the land I come from. These sounds merge with a perpetuum mobile piano in a classical and improvisational style, expressing the fusion of different worlds within my artistic path.
