Ishq Di

Jaipur Junction is based around vocalist and lyricist Sarita Rav from Jaipur, India together with drummer and producer Otto de Jong from Utrecht, The Netherlands. Ishq Di started as a Rajasthani folk song about the search for real love and connection.
Instead of adding drums, Otto chose to add guitar first and found a soulful chord progression to complement the song. In the studio a slideguitar, a real Yamaha DX7 synth and a drumloop on a worn out tape were added. The result is a Rajasthani folk song in a indie noir fashion.
