Singer and composer Juliana Martina is set to release her new album in October 2023. Born on the magical island of Curaçao within a Colombian family, Juliana’s unique blend of cultures has led her to a fresh and one-of-a-kind sound.
Having moved to Europe at the age of ten, Juliana finished her music studies specializing in traditional Latin-American music at the Conservatory of Rotterdam. Her love for Latin-American and Caribbean folklore can be heard in her lyrics, which are written in Papiamentu – the beautiful language of Curaçao, Bonaire, and Aruba – as well as Spanish (her mother tongue). All these elements come together with a contemporary jazz sound that creates a truly enchanting experience for listeners.
