New Signing: Ivan Laranjeiro

We are happy to announce the new addition to the AudioMaze family: Ivan Laranjeiro

Born in Portugal and now based in the Netherlands, Ivan Laranjeiro is a guitarist, arranger and composer whose artistic path has been shaped by a deep curiosity for Brazilian and Cuban music. His move to Rotterdam marked a turning point: a desire to study these traditions in depth led him to Codarts, where he completed both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Latin Guitar. Immersed in the city’s multicultural environment, he developed a musical identity that reflects Rotterdam’s diversity,  a blend of rhythms, histories and perspectives.

Ivan’s work centers on creating unity between different traditions. Drawing from classical guitar to jazz, from Brazilian choro and samba‑canção to Cuban son and bolero, he aims to shape a personal sound that both respects and connects each style. While the roots of these traditions must be understood and honored, the social and cultural landscape of Rotterdam invites a different intentionality, one that transforms these influences into a new aesthetic identity, continuing the same creative process of musical evolution that originally shaped these genres.
